No experience is necessary. This class is structured similar to a Zumba class where we have easy to follow routines. The instructor will give modifications if you need the steps easier, or more challenging. This is a very fun way to get your heart rate up! Your tap shoes will add to the musicality of the class. Tap shoes are available to rent for $3, but bring your own if you have them.
Dancer Flow Yoga
This class is based on the very popular yoga style called Vinyasa, but the movements are more specialized for dancers. The poses run together in a smooth way that becomes like a dance. The breath is an important component because the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This style allows for a lot of variety, and is great for enhancing strength and flexibility.
• Mini Dancer Flow Yoga, ages 2-4: Parents will participate with their child in a fun, interactive environment. Kids will learn the basics of yoga through story & game-based stretches and poses.
• Kids Dancer Flow Yoga, ages 5 & up: This yoga class is set to upbeat music to keep kids engaged while flowing through their poses. What a great opportunity for families to spend time together!
• Gentle Dancer Flow Yoga: This class is slower paced than the Dancer Flow Yoga class, and focuses more on stretching and restoration of the body after a long day of physical activity, or stress. We use candlelight to enhance the experience.
It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, calorie-burning dance fitness party that’s moves you toward joy and health. This high-intensity class is a fun way to get in your cardio without actually feeling like you’re working out. Please bring clean sneakers to wear that are not used outside.
